4 Great Online Gift Subscriptions

4 Great Online Gift Subscriptions

When it comes to gift-giving, we all have those people on our list that are “hard to buy for.”  You know, the ones who have everything they need and when you ask what they want, they say, “Oh I don’t know.”  I admit I’m one of those people.

That being said, I thought I’d share some great online subscription gift ideas.  If you’re stumped on what to get that hard to buy for person on your list, these are easy and fast ways to knock that gift list down and still manage not to blow the budget.   The best part is they make great gifts for any occasion, birthday, graduation, Christmas, or just because.

The Online Shopper

If your family or friends are like some of mine, they tend to shop a lot on The Zon, otherwise known as Amazon.  By now, unless you’ve been living on a deserted island or in a cave, Amazon is pretty much taking over the world of online retail, so rather than fight it, I say embrace it.

Amazon has two types of ordering.  The first is basically for those who may not order much and really don’t need their orders on their doorstep in a hurry.  The second is Amazon Prime which has a whole bunch of perks including faster delivery and special pricing, just to name a few.   Amazon Prime, which has a whole bunch of perks, including faster delivery (2-day shipping is free) and special pricing, just to name a few.  For $12.99 per month or $119 per year, your loved one can enjoy Prime Video, free Kindle downloads, music streaming, and more.

The Avid Reader

Charlie LOVES to read!  The number of books, both paperback and hardback that he has numbers in the hundreds.  This is after we sent boxes of books to my nephew for his school.

If you have a reader like my husband, the Amazon Kindle is perfect for them!

The great thing about the Kindle is that there is a regularly updated list of books that can be downloaded.  This is the thinnest, lightest Kindle yet, which makes it super easy to tote around and travel with.  And one BIG bonus, it’s now waterproof!  That is amazing, especially when you think about taking it on that beach vacation.

Plus, with instant access to over a million titles at $2.99 or less, it’s a money saver when you consider how much books cost these days.  If the recipient is an Amazon Prime member, they get the downloads for free. WIN-WIN!

Add in the Kindle Unlimited subscription for $9.99 per month, and your favorite book lover will have unlimited access to magazines, books, and audiobooks on any device that has the Kindle app.

The Music Lover

Remember when having an iPod was all the rage?  Well, I think it’s safe to say those days are fewer, if not gone, now that the Zon has a music streaming service.   Those of us who are a bit more mature, shall we say, can go back further to the Walkman, but we won’t go there.

Remember when having an iPod was all the rage?  Well, I think it’s safe to say those days are fewer now that the Zon has a music streaming service.  Amazon Music Unlimited is offering three months of unlimited music streaming for just 99 cents!  After that, it’s only $9.99 per month, and you can cancel at any time.

So you may be asking what the big deal is.  Well, if you have a music lover on your list, they will have unlimited access to any song they want on-demand and ad-free…yes, please!  Not to mention they can listen offline (like in an airplane) with limited skips, and if they have Alexa, they can listen hands-free, like when cleaning the house!

For the Kiddos

Anyone with kids will tell you that the “downtime” during the holidays can be frustrating.  With the kiddos out of school and many parents working, it’s hard to find constructive, fun things for them to do.

The Zon has it covered with Free Time Unlimited.  This service provides unlimited access via the app to thousands of kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games.

Considering the amount of time most kids spend on smartphones or tablets these days, why not invest in a program for them that not only keeps them occupied but is also fun and educational.  The subscription starts at just $2.99 per month, but for a limited time, you can get the first month for free to try it out.

It’s a great gift to give the grandkids, nieces, nephews, or anyone with a child with a tablet or smartphone.  Plus, with the parental controls, parents can be happy knowing they approve of the content their kids are seeing.

Sometimes, it’s not about finding that one single great gift but, instead, giving something that gives all year long.  Each time that person listens to a song reads a great book, or places that order online, they’ll think of you and smile!
